It's funny(and a bit sad)that until about a decade ago I beleived that the reason folks Beleived totally made-up stuff was because they hadn't seen the "real deal". Then, finally I got a "clue" and realised the VAST majority of them PREFER Fiction to Non. I also then retired from Teaching. I mean, I could Understand Cluelessness back in the 70's 80's and even early 90's but with the majority of most university's manuscripts and "classics" on-line, you really do have to choose the Glass over the Diamond.
At least it seems to be a Human and not just a Neopagan thing. I've Christian friends whose Beleifs have NOTHING to do with the Bible. I won't EVEN go into the whole "Pets in Heaven" bit Biblically;>.
I guess that's why I'm kinda glad I'm Solitary. I just don't have the nerves anymore to "deal" with the kind of dreck we had to back before the millenium and with today's Eejits who think 'Harry Potter' and 'True Blood' are Biopics....I'm WAY better off.

Sigh. And this is why I knew that first blog post would be controversial. I'm trying hard not to turn into an old curmudgeon - mostly losing, if truth be told . . . chin up. The gods know who's who and what's what.

I try to keep that in mind. In a way it's harder for me than a lot of Heathens since I discovered Wicca in the 70's and watched it slide into the "fluffy-bunny" crap that most of it's become due to the "Good Intentions" of the Egalitarians.
When I began studying, there was no guarantee the coven you studied with would Initiate you, even if you did EVERYTHING right. The full members as well as the HP-HPS had say as well. Folks that CHOSE to not "Tow the Party Line" theologically were shown the door. And Honestly, even in my Lefty World of the time, I didn't lose sleep over a single person that didn't make the cut. Today, those wackjobs and plain lazy Eeejits oft have 1000's of followers....at least online;>
