Folks always seem to think the Right has the lock-up on self-righteous, hateful people. The Left is just as bad. I recently read a smear piece by Media Matters on a Heathen org I happen to respect greatly. "Appearantly", this self-rightious prig saw a couple of guys wearing hammers at one of those idiotic White Pride conferences(every religion has Eejits. Some are even in your own Circle/Coven/Grove/etc.). He asked if they belonged to any org and when one said he did....
Sadly, his editors were busy getting Loaded to check his article for basic JOURNALISM and it was published, at least on-line. To which the usual Pagan Heathen-Haters and Uni-Supremesists piled on this "Proof" that a Folkist Org was "Racist"....
Another great reason to live out in the Sticks. At least I don't have to "deal" with these Eejits in Midgard....

I have big problems with the AFA, and those guys seem to have taken care to say offensive things. But yes, it's also a good example of the continuing double standard whereby Anglo-Saxon or any other Germanic heritage is the one kind one is not permitted to be proud of. His reaction to the open display of hammers - and hospitality offered on the basis of one - is all too widespread silliness. Unfortunately the Aryan Xians and others who abuse the hammer make it almost impossible to combat the hate spread by the likes of the SPLC, and to treat prejudice like that guy is showing with the mockery it deserves.

Quite true. My 1st Troth event had tables for all sorts of Leftist Political material, none that I could see as having ANYTHING to do with Heathenry. I admit that the "No Blood for Oil" leaflets brought by a woman in the biggest SUV I'd ever seen was a nice Ironic touch...though I think I was the only one there that "got it";>

I read the article too. I was surprised to see that article as well. I mean we all know that there are raciest types in Folkish clothing. There are raciest types in every religious group. That article just made all of us look like loonies.

And we all no that there are no Bigots in the Progressive or Neopagan Movements, right;>.If I see one more Genocidal Asswipe's Pic on a t-shirt at another festival or protest it'll be to soon. But it's OK to murder folks when your Politics is L but not when it's R? I really hate people.....
