Culling.....
Sep. 27th, 2011 11:35 amA few yrs ago, other than family I "culled" a number of friendships.I got tired of being a 2nd classs citizen in their eyes(not that they saw it as such). Comments such as,"if Gays were more like you" or "I don't have a problem with Gays as long as you don't "flaut" your Sexuality in front of " and so on. Sad thing? Almost every time they pointied out a "Flaunt" I could point out a het couple doing the exact same thing. "But that's DIFFERENT!?!". I finally decided that it's OK to have less friends...
Well, I've pretty much reached the same thing with Christian friends. In the last couple of days I've had different ones show thier Ignorance and lack of basic Manners about folks not "Bathed in the Blood" and I'm tired of it. One good thing about getting older is that you're less obsessed about "Getting Along". I can't do anything about family(something all of us know something about in various levels;>)but friends? I'd rather be just me, Chuck and Boo-Boo than in a crowded room with folks that think that my Faith deserves less Respect than a hobby....
Cheers,
Pat
