Satan's-Mart stricks Again!

My family,against my better judgement made me have my newest glasses at Wall-Mart's kiosk. I gave in when they offered to pay for mine and Chuck's. Well, a couple weeks ago i noticed that the earpieces were loose. Today, I go over to get them fixed and I DON'T EXIST! Chuck does but i don't by their computer. So no fixy.
Next time, back to Lenscrafters....

Went to Walfart because they were the only company left in town that did safety glasses for the company I used to work for. If it wasn't for the $125 voucher I got there, would have gone elsewhere. They are neither the cheapest nor the best. when I got my glasses, I commented that they would take some getting used to and I told them that there shouldn't get any "getting used to" as they were supposed to have been made per the scrip that I had from the last place that was only a few months old. "Oh no, it's a different scrip." Not going back.

We've ended up due to the economy doing more of our shopping there but personally? For my eyes I'm going back to Lenscrafters......
Sadly, locally WM is the only store other than the VERY expensive and trendy 'Whole Foods' to buy bulk dry goods and I'm sure as Hel not paying $4.00 a # for a bag of Baby Limas;>!

Aack! $4 for baby limas? I haven't been in a Whole Foods in ...... maybe never. We're quite fortunate to have two small local health food chains in town as well. My one friend insists on Whole Foods and stuff "on sale" at another grocery store and I keep telling her to go to the closest health food store. The prices at both chains are about the same, if not cheaper than Safeway or other chains so why not? And the quality is always high.

When something's equal or even a little higher I'll go for the locally-owned but with a household on Disability and coming December SSI(Chuck's taking early), anything beyond is too pricey. Also, I'm more likely to buy non-Organic from local sources at less to equal when it's a multi-corp....even if it is "Green".

One reason why I've been shopping at the one natural grocery. Saves me on most staples, beans, rice, etc. I shop farmer's markets when I can, unfortunately, this has been a bad year. Still, loaded up a bit. I'd rather support local (most use manure for fertilizer) than "organic" at a big box store.
