'Law-Abiding Citizen'....
Oct. 15th, 2009 07:15 amWon't see it. Why? Because Butler's character won't win.
For someone so "Law&Order", it seems a shock but after almost 5 decades of dealing with the legal system from jury duty to petty harrassment, I've learned that it isn't about Justice or even Right and Wrong...it's about Winning. With the exception of most Cops, Agents and Corrections Officers, the rest of the American(and most legal systems) is nothing more than a game they play, using US as counters. My "Virginity" was taken when I was charged with a felony because one of the two larger guys who were attacking me in my own home got hurt. Guess who lost...
I really don't see that much difference between today and the old ordael trials...it's still the better fighter that wins, not the most Right or Innocent. It's still the Richers that can afford the best "warriors" to fight for them....Peasants can just hope for a next life of higher status....
Truth,
Pat
