The last couple of days I've noticed a lot of dead squirrels around, none with any sign of trauma. Fewer than normal scampering aboutthe lines. Wonder if we've got an epidemic hitting them....

Too cold for Plague. Some kind of epidemic though, maybe some kind of distemper?

Nothing in the local media. I guess squirrels dropping dead all over the place isn't as Interesting as what the Kardashian Whores are up to;>....

Maybe the reason we get local coverage is because when there's a local wild life die off, it's something that can affect humans and/or domestic critters. Hanta virus hasn't been much of an issue lately but we get a few cases of plague every year late summer and raccoon distemper can also make dogs and cats ill.
