mdehnersFunny. I started out going to post to some of my pretty much moribund communities trying once again to get things going and decided not to. I mean, it DOES work. I'll post something, some of the members will discuss the material, then......DEAD AGAIN. I'm realising that I've developed a pretty strong "Why am I when nobody else can bother" mindset. Not just on-line either;>.
Part is just "Curmudgeon Syndrome" but sadly, a lot is part of today's "Entertain ME!!!!" culture. The last group I Moderated I stopped because most of the members expected me to put out subjects for us all to discuss, not for them to bring them up themselves. I'm a shitty Actor, so don't expect me to Entertain you;>!
I've heard a lot of "bitching" on a number of community/group/etc platforms about the drop in traffic in the last few yrs and yes, most of the more Shallow have wandered off to FB but since they never posted much more than "ditto!", it's no loss. It's just that many have no interest in putting their Energy(I mean, if a guy who used to get yrly "Reaper Drivebys" and still even with the Meds isn't WELL can...)and rather have someone else epend it for their USE.
So...stop complaining that ______ community isn't Active anymore and POST ON _____ COMMUNITY FOR REDBEARD'S SAKE!!!! AND if nothing happens...DISCOMM!!!!
