The Last Halloween?
Nov. 1st, 2012 11:09 amno...not because of the Mayan Calendar;>! Honestly, I'm getting really tired of the quality of Trick-R-Treaters we've had the last few yrs.
1st is that they're LAZY. Not just the minimal attempts at costuming. I counted at least 3 large groups that skipped our house simply because they didn't want to walk less than 15 feet down our driveway. Another group just stood there until I came out and delivered the Sugar but considering they were really too young for T-R-Ting, I gave them a pass. Then there are the teens that, dressed as they've been all day go door-to-door with pillowcases....
The Spiritual side of the Night did go well, however. The Alfablot and Dumb Supper were successes. Actually, this AM when I came back from my Walk I noticed the Bannock I'd baked for the Wights(Both Greater and Lesser, esp the Dead)was missing and half the glass of Whiskey was empty. No crumbs leading off in ANY direction either;>
Cheers,
Pat
