mdehnersOur low-cal media is owned by "Carpetbaggers". They bought out the old owners and moved here due to it's demograffics...being Anglo-Saxon, Protestant and Republican. The thing is, there is an area where most Locals don't agree with the Talking Heads of Conservatism....Global Warming.
You see,we're at the boundry of Biomes, Temperate and Subtropical and until about 20 yrs ago we were still Temperate. A lot of these Conservatives remember chipping Ice off their Fords in WInter to get to work. They remember taking their kids over to shallow ponds to ice skate a few weeks every yr. Whnever one of these "carpetbaggers" tows the party Line, some Retired Vet calls them out because they Remember. When you've live(except when Deployed) in the same town for 70+ yrs, you know what's changed and what's not.
Personally? I like being able to grow Navel Oranges and Bananas. After all, the Earth has been hotter many times before. So this civilzation collapses. It had it's chance and tossed it away decades ago...
