Stuff-N-Nonsense....
Jan. 30th, 2013 01:18 pmChuck's one more step closer to being able to chew again. Next week he should be getting his upper dentures and as soon as they're settled, they can start on the lowers. It'd be nice to have foods again with a bit of crunch to them.
Been a bit annoyed that my Havamal list's owner has decied not to run the stanzas again and open it to a general discussion list on the subject. Yah, nothing increases traffic on a list or group more than going from a weekly topic/subject to whatever folks want to post. Probably a sign he's going to close it down sometime in the future. Since all my files were lost last upgrade(for some reason nothing Archived did) I've begun digging through the Archived files for a decade's worth of discussions and translations,I'm now up to stanza 31;each with usually around 13 different translations. A bit more to go;>
The "Magpie" in me's been hankering to upgrade the images on my Altar but I still think reproductions of ACTUAL historical ones, no matter how "crude" still have more "gravitas" than some of the modern works. I realise the Nordic High Ones aren't Placid but do you need to make them all look like they fit on a 'Conan' paperback?
No "Dead People" dropping by since around Yule. Lots of activity with the Landwights...I don't think they like this Unseasonable weather.
Cheers,
Pat
