mdehnersSo, I'm reading the whining on one of my GLBT newsgroups about London's Pride day might be cancelled because of the "Lack Of Funds". Now, this isn't those for permits, security, etc. It's for all that other crap.
I remember my 1st GPD in 1980. I was in the Gay and Lesbian Student's Association group. We had helped those who'd planned it. Every group involved had put in the funds for all the civil "dues" and each group put together their own "thing". Us? What do you expect a bunch of college kids to put together? Yep, a paper banner painted with Tempora paint;>!
'Course, fo the modern generation of ANYTHING, that sort of thing wouldn't Interest them...unless we cold convince them that it's "Retro" and therefore "kewl";>
