One of the problems with ANY Spiritual Path is, unless you're a shallow, lazy person(and yes, even THEY go on Spiritual Quests...as long as there's not any "homework" and little personal effort involved), a point is reached where Communication becomes difficult with those not only not on your Path but those ON. Even those "On the Same Level" aren't often on "The Same Wavelength". This esp makes Internet forms problematic because many folks either come from "One Way" upbringings or are members of Paths that consider "sidetrips" simply your Personal business and not to be shared and "muddy the waters".
Being a Heathen, much of the Work I personally involve myself in is just that...PERSONAL. Not that I don't Wsih to "Share" but most of it's not really Shareable;>. Also, with the opinion on UPGs, esp in my own community(Folkish), not particularly welcome either. I'm DECADES from any personal need to feel the need to push my View on thosee that aren't Interested in it and WAY over Fighting...PERIOD. I'm a tired old Queen and have no Interest in squabbling for squabbling sake...something that both my community, the general Heathen and Pagan communites seem to enjoy doing.
Sometimes I do post some of my "stuff"(like my UPG's where Agricultural Wights come from)but esp that which deals with the Greater Wights(or God/desses) is kept to myself because quite frankly I'm not up to Flamewars anymore...esp on my own journal(s). I refuse to close my journals.
Well, that's about as much as I can post . Time to start the Bread!
Cheers,
Pat

Hmm. I guess I can see how that would be, sad though it is. Are there things in there that They would want shared/set straight is what I wonder?

Yes ... although I think we have to face the fact that all peoples contain a gamut of religiosity. Some - many - folks are just shallow in that respect. (Which I suppose is why we have both atheists and cultural Roman Catholics all around us.) We also seem to attract an awful lot of power-mad people. I suppose that's one of the draws of the cultural heritage, if you look at it from certain points of view. But it leads to so much waste.

I've been told myself, second-hand, that They don't give much of a hoot for groups, just for deeds. Problem is, we almost all of us seem determined to have a heathen sect or at least a kindred for every individual heathen. And there really are things we need to cooperate on, like getting kids the right to be heathen without suffering for it in school, and using the internet to help each other learn languages and lore before it gets taken away again.

Sigh. I could hear occasionally, for a brief period. But I don't think I will again. I just hope I am not fecking up too much, but when I asked someone to ask exactly that, I was given a parable that was hard to construe but appeared to mean just what you say - live it, no matter what. I still hope I am not fecking up too much.
