Series Recommendation, 'Kamichu!'......

mdehnersThanks to yesterday's events, I was a touch Depressed....so I did what I usually do then, "wallow" in cheerful Anime. Most were old faves: 'Princess Princess', 'Totoro' but some were brand new. One of those, only a couple of episodes in is good enough to recommend, 'Kamichu!'.
A junior high girl wakes up knowing she's Divine. This is awkward because she's also a shy schoolgirl with a "crush" on a boy who can never remember her name. Oh, and she has no idea WHAT kind of goddess she IS;>...
The 1st few episodes are those she discovers what she can do, convincing her friends, family and finally the townsfolk that she's not crazy. She visits the Divine realm looking for an MIA God(their town's Patron is missing, according to the temple maiden)and discovered that there are God/desses for everything AND that they also go out of favor, as a squabble between the god/desses of VHS, Laserdisc and DVD's attest;>
Like 'Totoro', really for the youngsters but with such charm that adults will enjoy most of it.
