Update....

Well, it's Congestive Heart Failure, which she'd had for the last 6 yrs. In typical Helene fashion, she didn't want to "bother" her MD until her next appt that she was feeling tired and needed Oxygen....which any NORMAL person would take to need to get one's arse to the ER! But, unless she's in severe Pain, she'll put up with it. Which is VERY annoying for a woman who was the 1st Female EMT in Utah AND KNOWS BETTER!!!!
Well, she's got what she hates, a catheter and an IV full of Lasix, which she probably could have avoided if she'd gone to the doctors when she started to have symptoms like not being able to Sleep because she COULDN'T BREATHE!!!!!!
I Love my Mom and know there's nothing I can do to change her(she's almost 90) but there are times this "I don't want to be a bother" bit gets OLD....
If past events are any clue she'll be out of the hospital in a day our two once the excess fluid in her lungs and heart drain and she'll be home.

Unfortunately, even before the Alzheimer's Dad could never get Mom to do something she didn't want to. It was Inspirational back in the 60's, now a bit annoying;>....
