Been a busy couple of days. A BIG reason is that Wednesday was the 1st payday in the household in MONTHS that we weren't on "Iron Rations" due to bills and we've been able to afford things that a lot of folks(including our family which we didn't tell) take for granted like fresh fruits and Veggies; Chicken and Pork. We still aren't a Beef-affording family;>...
The other has been one of my fav Lore Lists closing next week which meant I had to "Cut & Paste" all the interesting discussions into Word before the owner deleted the Archives. Finished just before typing this!
An UNPLEASANT note to this week; last week we could hear gnawing and squalling in the attic, meaning Roof Rats had made a colony...so we placed bait.
With this Summer's Heat and Humidity(esp in an attic)decomp comes quick;>!!!!!
Hopefully, the Composting will also finish quickly as well.
"Candles and Incense at Max Captain;>!"!!!

yahoogroup's Havamal. I knew it was doomed when the folks voted to make it a "discussion group" instead of a lessongroup with the stanzas offered(with the most translations available conveniently) weekly, as it had been.
Humans, being descended from Scavengers are intrinsically LAZY....

He hasn't yet. His said he'd give a week for folks to get what they wanted out of the archives. He'd probably turn it over if you asked...he did with Voluspa, even though it then became a Rydbergie propaganda mill with Bill at the helm;>

Hmmm. I'd feel a bit creepy taking over a list I never participated in, and you say the other members voted to make it open discussion because most of them felt it was too much effort for it to have a weekly structure. But I don't see why he's deleting the archives. This is still Matt, right? How about you post to the list and ask the members if they would be amenable to my taking it over and resuming doing a verse a week? Let's see how they feel about it - including him?

I posted it. I mentioned I've known you for many yrs(not quite as long as I have Bill Reaves which goes back to AOL;>)and find you very Honorable and Trustworthy. We'll see. I admit that I'm kind of surprised Bill didn't "vike" it like he did with Voluspa when Matt's commitments in Midgard made him give up one. There's part of me that wishes I could be a Rydbergie. Having all those "Untidy" bits written out or rewritten would cut back on the occasional acid stomach, dealing with Lore;>....
