Understanding....

mdehnersOne of the things that bugged me(and a lot of others I know;>) early on my Path was the Attitude of Elders that even shows up in mythology and Fantasy novels. That is: The More you Can, the Less you DO. I do Understand a bit better...NOW.
Ritually, it's pretty obvious. Rites are methods to focus your Will and Abilities to a desired end. Once the 'Muscle Memory" is built up, they are not usually necessary.
Magically, you learn that most things fix themselves over time to what was meant to be. This is where "mileage" on the Path is IMPORTANT. "Mucking About" with a person's Wyrd is A BAD IDEA. Oft there's a Reason why something is Happening and SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Again, this is where Experience comes in and Maturity not to "bitch" when(because sooner or later you will fuk up)when you "muck" with Someone/thing's Plans. Including their Soul's.
Sadly, a lot of this also applies to Knowledge. Somethings need to be Learned, not Taught. Until a student has all the "letters", it's useless to write an "epic";>.
IMO this is one reason many Metaphysical lists/groups/communities are shrinking...though not a major one, sadly. The easy stuff can be explained in writing. Even the "Middle School" level stuff is pretty much impossible even just to explain one's experiences, let alone Teach HOW. Sadly, in today's world that means a lot of folks like me working as the Wise Ones did in days Past, Solitary....
