mdehnersYesterday, Dad didn't show up with the paper. Not that we need it but it gives him something to do and makes him Feel Useful. Thing is, if the paper is late, he'll call by 0730. If it hasn't and no call, 90% of the time it's TROUBLE.
I give him a ring and he tells me that Mom is fine, just had to go to the hospital last night. I DO get tired of this, "don't want to worry the kids" stuff.
It's the usual. SOB due to water retained due to CHF and Kidney disease(sadly, caused by damage from dyes used in Cardiac Caths). So they have her cathed and Lasixed to get the excess water out of her lungs(about 10#, according to her weight over the last month).
Chuck and I'll visit around 1000. When she's had this happen before, she's usually in for 1-2 days getting the excess fluid out. I have a Feeling next yr she'll be going on Dialysis....
