Bumpy Week....

The former mostly dealt with the folks....no surprise. Tuesday we both overdid it prepped their house for the spraywasher. Apparently, the last 2 months Mom repeatedly told Dad to clean off the deck he went into his shed to Drink....which he did as soon as we showed up. Even though Dad isn't terry and Gary's biological father, you'd think so when seeing the crap he'd "saved" piled up on the deck(Mom doesn't go out there, not for the last couple of yrs)that's where they got their Hoarding gene from. Wednesday was spent all day in the hospital with Mom while Dad got another Cardiac Cath(no change + or - in 2 yrs). They kept him all day due to the kidney "issue" and wanted to make sure all the dye was out of his system before sending him home. Mom refused her Walker and promptly collapsed by the time we got to the info desk. Thankfully, this WAS a hospital so grabbing a wheelchair for her wasn't a "biggie". By the time he was released Dad was back to his normal belligerent self, including rewriting Tuesday so that we "abandoned" him to do all the "work". Sadly, this behavior is not new and/or part of his disease process. Most Gay men of my generation know it very well. Being "Tolerated" isn't the same as being "Accepted" and certainly NOT to be treated the same as one's Het siblings. But Hey! At least they let us in the house, which is better than most of us got.....
The + this week was the release of the 2nd season of 'This Is Jinsey' to Hulu in America. Sadly, my icon's actor didn't return and his segment is now poorly played by the head actor in 'This Is Klang' as a drunk. Not funny at ALL. I think they must have lost a couple writers during the hiatus because it's not as Creative. Still funny but not AS creatively funny. The best episode so far is 'Nightly Bye'(Jinsey-speak for Goodnight) in which Arbiter Maven tries to drug the whole island to prevent the outlawed observance of the Pagan holiday of "Nakk'n" which involves things the "True Faith"(of the Permed Owl of Veronica;>)disapproves of: Drinking, Dancing and Singing risqué songs. The best is 'Female Badger'. Check Utube;>....
