for the Christian woman peddling her "Pity-Pot" on a number of my newsgroups the last couple of days. She's upset that the story of her and her family's "Tale of Redemption" has been oft met with Mean-Spiritedness".
So, when her family found out their son was Gay they threw him out and he had the "Unchristian" action of dying on the street without Renouncing his "Gayness". AFTER HE DIES, they "Repent saying that if they could have done things differently, they wouldn't have thrown him out. PERIOD. It's sort of like (to members of My Other Tribe)hearing a WWII Concentration Camp guard "Repenting" of the Gas Chambers and Crematoriums....PERIOD.
As someone who's watched this sort of crap since the late 70's....it's about THEM, not HIM. THEY are failures in their eyes because:
They couldn't get their Son to be a perfect Christian despite "Raising Him Right"
He died without proving them RIGHT

Fuck Them.

If they want MY Forgiveness, adopt some GLBT kid who's parents did what they DID and TRY to pay the Weregild. TRY. Going from church to church getting your "Aura Fluffed" for how much YOU'VE SUFFERED IMO adds to the DEBT OWED.

Spot On. Her family's Action led to the death of her child and SHE'S PLAYING THE VICTIM!?!!!!
Every time I start to work through the crap I've gone through(not to mention Loved Ones like Chuck who got a Catholic Exorcism per baseball bat to the head)another's out there playing the "Victim Card"(tm,pat-pending).
All I can say is that the Universe better not grant me a Wish, 'cause 9 out of 10 days it'd be for EVERY JCI Believer to be Converted to Compost....
