New Beginnings....
Jan. 29th, 2015 09:48 amHH is done and now it's time to make Royal Oaks one. The inside's pretty much where we want it. A few more paintings need to be hung but other than that...DONE.
Some exploratory digging in the back yielded a much more positive result than I thought. The soil's actually pretty decent and except near the Fragrant Olive, with only minor treeroot involvement. Interestingly, a bit of a flashback to HH when I discovered that the previous owner had "slipcovered" at least the backyard...this time with roofing shingles instead of carpeting;>! Actually, a lot easier to dig out.
So, next payday I'll pick up some Composted manure to improve the backyard and clear the front of all the Mondo Grass planted as a groundcover so more attractive and useful plants can be planted.
Cheers,
Pat

Date: 2015-01-30 09:22 pm (UTC)Slipcovered. OI. Someone had done that with really cheap (i.e. garbage bag-esque) landscaping cover to the left of the house. Ages ago, so everything had grown over it. Getting that up was speshul timez.
