So, I'm sorting the seeds for those I'll start Indoors. Those that are Hardy Annuals are already in but the weather(Rainfall mostly) has not been conducive to Germination.
For the most part, due to the decreased growing area here at Royal Oaks(compared to a lot and a half at Hummingbird)I'm focusing on ornamentals and Culinary Herbs....with a few rare Veg tossed in.
2 need Stratification(that's refrigerating them after planting for a month or longer); White Monarda and Red Shiso. The others can be set in the light garden after planting:
White Asarina(Climbing Snapdragon)
White Iceplant
White Gomphrena
White 4 O'clock(some pink splashes. Saved from fellow gardener's yard)

As you might have noticed, the blossom theme is White;>. I don't know why but since moving here I've had this Impulse to plant predominantly White flowering plants. There are other colours but the predominant one is White.

I'll also be test germinating the saved seeds of Shimonita Negi, a Japanese Leek that I LOOOOOVVVVEEE! Didn't plant any last yr but hopefully they'll still be Viable.

I've noticed a few signs of Spring; the Galangal is sprouting and the Oaks have turned my White Jeep Gold with their Pollen. In a couple weeks we should be past Freeze danger(usually middle-last week of March)and I can start hardening seedlings to plant out in their permanent places to enjoy the rest of the yr...I hope. Esp. since with the exception of the Negi and 4 O'Clocks all are new plants I'm testing her;>....
Cheers,
Pat
