Pilot Review: 'Preacher'

mdehnersTo Preface; I never read the comic(never HEARD of it;>!)and had no interest. Commercial promos didn't do a thing. But on the day of premiere, an HR before showtime I decided to DVR it and the one time 'Talking Preacher'. I watched 'TP' and was sufficiently intrigued to watch the actual show. Me Likey;>!
Set in basically the Texas version of Twin Peaks, it's about a bad boy who tries to redeem himself by filling the shoes of his Preacher father. Add in an Entity(Angel? Demon? AI?) that is perfectly balanced between Good and Evil(in the 1st 15" of the show it Possesses a Christian Pastor, a Satanic Priest and Tom Cruise...all who were not up to it's standards and explode;>), a Scottish Vampire and a Bad-ass Badgirl(who builds a bazooka out of cans, chains and Moonshine to take out a helicopter)and you have an interesting central cast.
Have no idea where it'll go but it's now on my "record" list....
