No, I don't spell it with "k";>. I never was a fan of "Uncle Al" and that bit was one of his dumber ideas, IMO.
Thinking about the Runic Rosary got me thinking about the subject. Except for an occasional Healing and Weather-Working, I haven't done much Magic since the late 80's. The biggest reason is that, not being Competitive or Acquisitive I hadn't seen any reason for it. Then there is the whole Ethical/Moral bit;>. But with the changes coming in the States, it's perhaps time I dust off some old skills.
So, I've added a new project for 2017; Magic. I'm not THAT worried but we ARE openly Gay Heathen men living in "Trump Country". Safety 1st;>!
One system that I've always been Interested in but never got around to studying was the Hex Sign system, popularized by of all folks the Amish. I've tried for yrs to find any trace of local traditions but the Church was pretty efficient here with the Natives and the Africans. It'd be nice to use Native plants but like most inhabited areas there are plenty of Euro-centric materials to gather....
The various Runic methods I'm still pretty "up-to-date" with; Bindrunes, Is and Tree Runes, etc....but rustier that I should be. Time to go to the metaphysical "gym" and work out;>!
Cheers,
Pat
