mdehnersDad's military funeral went well and was quite Moving. I've got his flag and the spent rounds from the salute under my Stall. The rest of the day had a symmetry to the 4th. 1st, we got a flat on a brand new tire 20 mins into the drive to the cemetery. Then my brother's vehicle assistance company NEVER got back with an ETA of help. So, Chris had "fun" changing a tire(something he hasn't done in more than 30 yrs on a car that both he and his wife had no idea where and how. I finally suggested the Owner's Manual. I was surprised these two techies hadn't just "googled" the model;>.
Got there 5 min before funeral on base but since this time Dad wasn't will us we all had to go through Homeland Security. Luckily, funerals get to the front of the line.
On the way home it took 2 hrs to get the new tire fixed.
Oh, and today I noticed an odd noise in the car I'm presently driving. Who knows if Dad had it Serviced recently.....
Today, other than emptying the last freezer and putting out the cans we're taking the rest of the day off;>!
