mdehnersI don't "do" proselyting well. I tolerate it from family and friends up to a point then, if friends they're no longer so. Family? You're kinda stuck with them.....
I've known my SIL for almost 30 yrs. When we 1st met she was of the most shallow of newage beliefs yet tried to "show me the light". Over the decades she's hopped from Way to Way, each time trying to convince me that THIS ONE really was the "One True and Only"(and usually Reframing the past so she reeeaaalllly didn't believe the previous Trues). She started in the Flakey bits of the Left and now is in the Right's bits....followers of the Persimmon Messiah.
So, we had a lovely family lunch yesterday and this AM I get an email from her with a YouTube addy. It was from one of those sites that had "proof" that Obama was Gay, Michelle was a Transwoman and the kids were adopted.....hence the ??????
One, I don't believe it but even if it was true it wouldn't have mattered to me one bit. The really sad thing was that she thought, after all these yrs that accusing someone of being Gay or Trans was supposed to make me hate that/those person(s). She obviously never knew me at all.....
