It's been nice rereading again 'Gods of the North', 'The Well and the Tree', Grimm's Teutonic Mythology and many others this last month. I needed a good "wallow" in tertiary or quaternary sources. I always see them as sort of the "clif notes" version of Lore;>. And in the case of TyR, the classic tendency to lump Beings under different Roman Deities helped, since He is ID'ed as "Jupiter" under that system. Oddly, this made Him more "approachable" to me than the Ultimate Arthurian Knight Archetype that Id been taught by my 1st Heathens I'd met.Everyone has their own comfort reading;>....
