Workin......
Nov. 29th, 2019 09:57 amAfter yesterday's wet blanket I decided to do some more "Life Affirming" stuff....
The front garden's looking fairly decent with all the presently Freeze damaged vegetation cleared. Planted some Violas, Pansies, Petunias and Narcissus bulbs. The latter are problematic here in The Dangly Bits because of our mild Winters. Of the standard types only 'Ice Follies' does well(at Hummingbird I had a patch 3' across!) but I discovered there's a double mutation of it so I'm trying some this yr. There's a number of divisions that SUPPOSEDLY grow here but some I've not had good luck with. I had great luck at Hummingbird with the minis but here, not so much. Maybe without the Crape-myrtle they will.
It's been the best Fall Color we've had in more than a decade this yr. Pretty as well as messy instead of our usual just messy;>!
Cheers,
Pat
