Yo Yo......
Apr. 2nd, 2020 09:36 amBit of an uneven week. The "up" bit was my md appt. Back looks great and I can resume normal activity. I'd been worried about back pain for the last couple of weeks but apparently it's a symptom of success; I'm using muscles I've not used in yrs and they're not real happy about it;>.....
The down was Chuck. He's down to 50% kidney function. It's not panic time since you can survive with 78% non-function but it's something to watch.
It was interesting how different two medical offices dealt with C-19. Mine? Temp and those who were within normal limits were passed on. Pieces of tape 6' from the receptionists and waiting rooms with 3 seats between each patient. Chuck's? Same as receptionist in mine except you were made to sit outside of the blding where the Smokers usually hang out until someone came to get you. There was an elderly couple who was there when we got there and was STILL waiting when we left...in shorts in 55 F weather in the shade....
Next week he goes in for an ultrasound of his kidneys...
Cheers,
Pat

Date: 2020-04-02 04:59 pm (UTC)I've been wondering how doctors' offices are managing this; I hope it works. Thinking enviously of the NHS medical phone line the BBC keeps mentioning, but of course I wouldn't be able to hear word one '-)

Date: 2020-04-03 05:20 pm (UTC)In a sad way Chuck's kidney diagnosis is a Blessing. He's always had a strong Constitution. My biggest Fear is that he has a Stroke that leaves him non-sentient but alive; and anyone old enough to remember Terri Shaivo knows how Florida is concerning "Heroic Measures". Feeding tubes are standard for cases like that.

Pat
