TV series recommendation: 'Sweet Home'

mdehnersYes, a Horror series recommendation on Christmas;>! Think of it as an antidote to all the sugary shows the last couple of weeks....
In a way 'SH'(a K-Horror tv series) reminds me of the French flick 'The Horde'. People in a decrepit apt bldg trying to survive monsters both Human and ex-Human. In this case, it's more like 'Silent Hill' than 'Dawn of the Dead'.
A young shut in man whose family was killed in an accident has to move to a cheap apt in a decrepit high rise when literally all Hell breaks loose. It starts with a bloody nose and then unconsciousness. For most, they then mutate wildly, all into a carnivorous form. A very few can fight keeping their Humanity....for a time.
The main character is one of those. Interestingly, his change is mental; from Isolationist to joining and helping people.
One big difference is the Buddhist "slant". While so many Western Horror genre still "play" in the Christian milieu this one doesn't. One of the few alerts the folks get is a gov't report that it's a Spiritual disease caused by "Desire". I'm wondering if the form they take have to do with those Desires.
I'm only up to episode 5 but so far so good;>....
