mdehnersWhile I was reading about the folk practices of soon to be stomping grounds, I decided to order from root worker some Healing oil. Normally, if I don't make something myself, I order from a couple of Pagan Etsy shops but I decided to try something new.
It arrived Saturday and I tested a dab on my inner arm to check for allergic reactions. Mixed in with the usual herbal scents was an odd one that took me a bit to figure out....until I got a light headache. It was Turpentine.
Turpentine is pretty extensively in pre 20th Century materials in Healing potions and rubs. It was standard for children. And I thought Castor Oil was nasty! Needless to say, I won't be using it.
