I've noticed in the last month that I'm losing the gains I got from the back surgery January before last and this AM I woke with an old acquaintance, backpain. Wht's got me worried is not my pain but Chuck's situation. There's no one here to help if I had to go to the hospital(not that they WERE much last time). If something happened to me, Chuck would have to go to a nursing home and even if I came out better than I came in my family and the state wouldn't let me. I was(and still am) Hoping that if it DOES come to pass we're already moved because I WILL NOT MOVE if Chuck goes into a home HERE.
Hopefully, it's just me having "The Vapors" and either he'll Pass here before the place in Tennessee is ready or we both last until we move. I tend to be a bit of a "Worry-Wart;>.....

Yes indeed, I hope you both last long enough to move. I hope your back is partly reacting to the packing up.

Before the surgery, I'd just "deal". I probably shouldn't go from 0 to 60mph thinking the minute I have severe back pain again that it's something to do with the pins and go right in my mind to surgery. I think part of it is helping emotionally with a friendly neighbor. Joyce is in pretty much the same situation with her husband as I am with mine and we use each other to vent safely. A few weeks ago they both came down with COVID. She was able to stay home but Tom was hospitalized and then ended up in a COVID rehab unit in a local home. She can't take care of him anymore and I think helping her cope is sometimes too close to my own situation.
I'm doing all the things I used to that helped before the surgery and there has been some relief. I did some "Woo" stuff last night and I didn't "See" any inflammation or decreased function so HOPEFULLY it's just a very bad spasm. Considering the nerves were compressed for over a decade and a half and I'd been using a walker for a number of yrs creating muscle atrophy I should be grateful for what function I gained and still have....
