Adapt!!!

So, I made a comment how much their Recycling folks will love all the cardboard boxes and he said, "They don't DO Recycling". I haven't lived in an area without Recycling since the early 80's. So I've been thinking about ways to decrease what goes in the landfill.
One thing I've done has to go plastic free in the bathroom going to bar personal care stuff(soaps, shampoos and shaving) as well as at the sink. I'll wait till we move and then order laundry and dishwasher powdered soap in cardboard(since it has to come in something;>!). Unfortunately my go-to cleaning solution is vinegar but since only unpasteurized apple cider...I don't think so! We'll be going back to a pitcher of Green Sun Tea in the fridge and tap water....
It's not just us, the cats will have to adapt as well. All windows are N exposure so no pools of Sunshine to lay in;>.....

That's awful. But I always wonder how people go plastic-free. Almost all the jars and bottles are plastic now—despite the risk of breakage, I miss glass instant coffee jars, they made wonderful storage jars—and so many other things come wrapped in plastic; I'm not sure you can even get paper-wrapped single toilet rolls any more.
