So, Chuck had a full mental break yesterday and was admitted to the hospital. My brother,our landlord told me he can't come back(the screaming at their door might have had a help with it). My brother is right. I physically and mentally can't care for him at his present physical and mental state and it's only going to get worse.
I've tried for MONTHS to get him Medicaid so a nursing home would accept him without results. Think they might now.
The big problem i that I can't afford to pay for his bills and the hospital keeps trying to get me to sign stuff to make it my debts. This is why we never had our marriage legalized as so not to have Chuck stuck with mine. How things have changed in almost 30 years.
I wa going to go and visit but last night wrecked me both physically and mentally so I can't drive. I hate to say it but I hope he still is forgetting me....

I appreciate the thoughts. It's rough, I can't take care of him anymore and the hospital is doing a crapshow with him. At least today they placed a Nurses Aide to watch and keep him comfortable. I think my taking pics yesterday might have a thing todo with it;>

Just saw this. Oh dear. Poor Chuck. Poor you. I hope you have managed to get some sleep and can go visit him soon. But yes, you're right, best would be for him to have now slipped into a peacful place in his mind where he doesn't miss you.

I also hope the damned government aid comes through.

(I don't blame him for the screaming, after what happened when he had the stroke. But your brother and SIL will disagree.)

Mentally, he's a lot worse now that he's in the hospital. As of today we're STILL waiting for a bed ANYWHERE. Right now he's in a room that's usually used to store equipment; no furniture,no ttv. I can't stand very long and my walker's seat ain't the most comfy thing so can only stay around an hr before it's too painful. At the way he's going, by the time they find a Dementia ward placement for him he's be moved to a regular bed because he came down with something FROM the ER.
