Something happened this week and it'd taken me a few days to digest. I felt we'd(the USA) hit a tipping point, a point of no return. Considering the krap that's happened in the last 7 months you'd have though it had already and I kinda thought we did. And compared to all the things before, these seem pretty innocuous but to me "wo-wise" it heralded the end of America as the country'd been for the last200= YRS. We'llbe lucky if we have and outcome as Positive as the UK after Brexit.
2 simple and to most folks nothing. CBS paying Trump for telling the truth and Stephen Colbert being canned by royal demand for the same reason. If a sitting president can so blatantly hush dissent, then it's over. Precedent has been made. ANY future president can do the same. The only thing holding themselves back is Decency.......and there's little hope of that.
Hope I'm wrong.

I hate to say this, but we are already in the middle of a cold civil war - one that the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 is waging on the rest of us. It's rich vs everyone else, christofascists vs everyone else. It's all the racist, sexist, everything -ist against everyone else.

It's only going to get worse, I'm afraid.

Race, religion, politics and economic status. All are casus belli soon.

Yup. Been that way for the last decade but ramped up with 1/6. I think the USA hit a Cusp Point; a point of no return(kinda like the Climate one if things don't change next yr. Worst case possible I saw was complete biosphere collapse by 2060...). Boy, am I glad I'm in my 60's and in poor health.
Whatta world where THAT'S the best Hope is.
