mdehnersToday I get to meet my new caseworker for our local aids org(the 4th I've had in the last decade...). One thing I've found out over the last couple decades, there are 3 different kinds that come to Work at an aids org:
1: The Believer in the Mission
2: The Loser who wasn't good enough for a for Profit business
3: The Fundie Trolling for Points
The latter are the most Toxic and the most likely to be blocked IF the org's leaders are Gay. In Fundie-World,you get more Salvation Points working with Folks you Dispise. Also, there's the Points you get "Curing" or Converting. The main reason we refuse financial help here is because those running the HOPWA program are 3's. The last time I was given a lecture that even if I'd NOT been married but with a woman I'd get full assistance but since same sex couples are only roomates in God's Eyes, you get half. Wwe could have used the help earlier this yr when our landlord ran up our bills doing repair work at 72F per AC(we kee ours normally at 80F)but chose NOT to put up with that BS....
