mdehnersI was channel-surfing a couple nights ago and caught the tail end of a Wall Street Econo-blowhard out-gassing. The next guest deflated his technobabble with a snort and basically, the following:
Companies hire when the demand for their products outstrip their present workers ability to meet the demand....PERIOD.
Thing is, when you take jobs from Americans and give them to foreigners in their countries,you prevent those Americans from affording your products....PERIOD.
America has a particular Consumer Culture that unlike ANY OTHER is willing to spend more of a percentage of their Income on materials that aren't Necessities. By leaving low-paying or no jobs for those Americans you shoot yourself in the foot for short-term gain.
No matter how much they Hope, the Barons will NEVER get the Indians or Chinese to be AS free-spending as Americans. Heck, Americans will use their kid's schooling moneies to by crap they don't need....
