mdehnersby our local Repuplican Primary, because I saw it's seeds planted back in the 70's. Then, the Republicans moved toward Tribalism. That is, those who aren't US are less, alien, evil or at least questionable. "They're not really _____". As long as Reagan's Admonition was enforced, it was OK but once it's easy to demonise those that aren't YOU, the YOU can get aweful small....
So, in our regional Primary a Traditional Republican is having to "deal" with a Modern Republican, which Beleives that those that don't agree completely with me is an Ememy and MUST BE DESTROYED. Poor thing can't cope with being treated like he treats/ed non-Republicans.
