Been pretty depressed like a lot of people, so I haven't posted anything....anywhere. Sadly, I wasn't close to how bad and how fast. And I expected it to suck big time.
I had an "awkward" meeting with Chuck's nursing home the day after the Medicaid freeze. I'm worried sick for him and all the others on 400 ward. All are Medicaid patients. It's on hold and in a normal time it wouldn't pass the courts but with most of them Magots?
For me it's just been weird. My Neurosurgeon wants me to get gastric bypass surgery for the 45# I haven't lost yet. It makes no sense till you know he figures even if Medicare exists in a few months Back surgery for someone who's previous surgery no longer works(even though it's been almost a decade) would not be approved. He just wants to get paid. Oh, and my brother is transfering to a lesser job to keep from being laid off. He works on software remotely for the feds and mid tier businesses. Looks like their old plan of just selling some property if things go south is a no go if no one has money....
Saw daff buds across the road so I at least have a symbol that Winter is ending. Unfortunately, it's just beginning for America. I'm Seeing again and at least where I live, I'm Seeing abandoned buildings, no traffic. No People. No deer either which is really scary. That means they're gone too...

I know I'm a total stranger but I saw your post on Latest Things and wanted to send some good vibes from the UK. I see what it's like in the USA right now and I hope it turns out better than we all fear with those madmen in charge. 🌟💓

All of us appreciate the Thoughts. What's going on here is like an uber BREXIT with the R thinking all this hate and superior behavior won't have real world consequences. We didn't leave the EU, we left the friccin planet!

Yes. I thought that when I read things people were saying about America. They are similar to what they said about the UK and Brexit- 'the country is a laughing stock' etc. It got so nasty here in the UK, I'm amazed we didn't have a civil war.
I wish you the best of luck and I hope somehow, something happens to bring sanity back to your country.

Oh dear. I hope you don't need the gastric bypass surgery .... and that Chuck and the others will be all right. I hope we'll all muddle through, but those nursing home people, in particular, it's pure cruelty to freeze the funds for them.

And the continuing cluelessness of my (MAGA)SIL is just sickening. Can't have anything to do with her Lord and Savior, Le Cheeto Grande....
It's put a few things in perspective though. I'm NOT going to have that surgery. I'll just keep losing weight the normal way. If that means no back surgery, so be it.
On a "Woo" note surprisingly unsurprising this year that Hagalaz has come up in more than 1/2 of my readings with Nauthis a close 2nd....
